Hotel Extension - Fort Lauderdale, FL Located at the Fort Lauderdale Marina, the existing Hilton hotel provides a place to stay for tourists travelling mainly by cruise lines and yachts. The existing restaurant at this location is in poor condition and underutilized by the hotel guests. This called for a renovation and expansion of the hotel to include a new ballroom, event spaces, and rooftop bar and terrace that overlooks the water. The design includes a large glass facade to allow for transparency to the water, from the interior pre-function spaces. A dynamic linear brow travels horizontally across the facade to create an overhang on the ground level, as well as a trellis on the roof level. This project was designed while working at Adache Group Architects.
