ORBIT HOTEL
Modular Hotel - Miami, FL The idea of creating an orbital capsule feature for a Miami modular hotel derived from the consideration of views and experiences. People visit Miami for the lifestyle, music, downtown area and the beaches. Most hotels by the coast offers two views; one being the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean, and the other is a view back to the city skyline. Providing the ability for a visitor to experience both views, the Orbit hotel elevates the units past the height of its neighboring retail stores across the street, providing an expanding view to the city. Assembling a mechanical structure that allows rooms to revolve in 360 degrees per day gives any user the experience they are meant to receive, regardless of what room they stay in. This way, visitors can enjoy breakfast watching the sunrise, and have an evening dinner with a view to the city. Like a bicycle, each floor slab is attached to a rail system that connects to a primary gear core that controls the revolution of the capsule rooms.
